- Message: Nobody is above the law and eventually the criminal/bad guy will be found in the end
- The way the camera shoots--set up the scenes (example: intro panning from the club scene to the craps table to the main person that will end up being the suspect and back to the club scene and band)
- The camera will also zoom in on the evidence and pan out which also helps set the scene
- The lighting is dark and luminous--representing working in the laboratory as well as being the night shift--crime nor Vegas ever sleeps
- The intensity builds before each commercial as each characters flaw comes back to haunt them in the courtroom
- These flaws are meant to take away their credibility in the courtroom to prove you can't believe the evidence...most of it has been tampered with...and make people believe CSI people "fill in" the missing evidence and infer the outcome and its not always facts
- The flaws were first the guy forgot to date/time the evidence of the die that proved the girl's blood was in the guy's mouth, 2. the compromise of blood, 3. the affair with the emt, and 4. the failed test
- Luckily the boss, even though hard of hearing, overcomes it and proves the guy was guilty...using the strange imprint on the sheet came from the guys knee
- This brought back the credibility to CSI
- Everything from the characters flaws, the way they dress, the witty one liners the boss uses...all of this aids to the characters relatability and the notion that this really could have taken place
